CUBA – Blueberry 43mg

CUBA Blueberry 43mg puts a sweet blue-fruit flavour into a slim black pouch carrying 43mg of nicotine, the dose shared by every CUBA Black can. You may also see it listed as Cuba Black Blueberry; it is the same 20-pouch tin, 13 g net, made by Nicotobacco in Poland. Some shoppers call it CUBA blueberry snus, although there is no tobacco in it, only a plant-based cellulose filling.

Is CUBA Blueberry 43mg the right step for you?

Start with what you use now. If your usual pouch is around 10mg to 16mg, 43mg is somewhere between two and a half and four times that in a single portion. It is meant for people already comfortable with 20mg-plus pouches, and the maker pitches the whole Black series at experienced users.

Black pouch, slim cut

The pouch fabric is black rather than white, which is the visual signature of the series. Each slim portion weighs about 0.65 g, the same size as a CUBA White pouch, so the feel under the lip is similar across the two lines even though the nicotine is not. Nicotobacco says the pouches are made without bleach or glue.

Reading the 66mg/g figure

Nicotine per gram tells you how concentrated the filling is, while the per-pouch figure is what one portion actually delivers. The Black filling is more than four times as concentrated as CUBA White, which is why two pouches of similar size end up so far apart. Across the whole tin, the 20 portions add up to 860mg of nicotine.

• Per pouch: 43mg nicotine
